Nat King “The King of Jazz Piano” Cole (March 17, 1919 – February 15, 1965)

Nathaniel Adams Coles, known professionally by his stage name Nat King “The King of Jazz Piano” Cole, was a professional vocalist, jazz pianist, and actor.His career started in the tail of the 1930’s and lasted about three decades. He was the first African American performer to host a variety TV. In 1946 the Cole Trio Pad was the first African American artists to sponsor their own 15 minute radio program on NBC. Recording over 100 songs records like Mona Lisa, Home, and Orange Colored Sky that all became hits on the pop charts.
